Which men do women prefer? This question is quite complex to answer. In our possession we have an article that talks about the preferences of women regarding the opposite sex. Although this is only a study, it seems that women may be inclined towards one type of man or another depending on their menstrual cycle.
What is more important, the exterior or the interior? Is there a stereotype that prevails among the female audience? A group of researchers from the University of California (UCLA) seems to have found the factor that determines the sexual preferences of women. It is about your menstrual cycle.
The study, led by psychologist Martie Haselton, is based on nearly fifty previous investigations. She argues that, while during ovulation women prefer men with more masculine features, during the rest of the month, the balance leans towards those stereotypes historically and socially associated with life as a couple.
The conclusions of the study are based on the theory of evolution and on a behavior inherited from the time of our ancestors. In them, what prevailed were the reproductive capacity, and therefore, the individuals with the best genes. Height, strength and dark skin are some of the traits associated with genetically dominant individuals at that time.
A theory, which, however, has detractors within the scientific community. They consider that it is a behavior, which although it is demonstrated in animal species, cannot be applied to the human case. Therefore, biology has no influence when it comes to selecting one man or another. It is something like denying our most primitive origins, the use of reason being the dominant cause. We believe that this is not very credible. So… Which men do women prefer?
