Too much sex can make you unhappy

Too much sex can make you unhappyToo much sex can make you unhappy. Although it may seem difficult to understand for most men, sex may not be the elixir of happiness. In fact, it can be the cause of many people’s bad moods. Passion, seduction and eroticism in excess can embitter couples. In this way, they can make their lives much sadder. This is the idea defended by a new study from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. This study has proven that doubling the sexual activity of a group of married couples has only brought them misfortune.

To test the effect of sex on mood, the researchers divided 64 couples between the ages of 35 and 65 into two groups. The first segment, heterosexual and married, had to practice sex normally. That is, yielding to passion with routine frequency. However, the other group should have sex twice as often as normal, regardless of fatigue or desire. The rush of sex would last a total of three weeks.

After that time, couples on the second team were noticeably less happy than those on the first, the researchers said. «The finding was a complete surprise,» explains study leader George Loewestein. «We believed that people who had more sex would have a much better time and would be happier, and also this would favor their relationships,» he indicated in an interview with Livescience magazine. But Loewestein was wrong. Sex, like all pleasure, is better in its fair measure.

Anyway, it is just a study and each person and each couple is different. Test where the limit is if your partner allows it. Too much sex can make you unhappy or it can make you just the opposite.
